The Overture to William Tell is a one-reel cartoon from 1947, produced by Walter Lantz and starring Wally Walrus. This was the second of three Musical Miniatures, a short-lived series similar to ‘Swing Symphonies’, but based on classical music instead of jazz.
Color has slightly faded, and is still pretty nice, with yellows, blues and grays present. Please note: as this cartoon has no dialogue, Piccolo used the original soundtrack.
Released by Piccolo Film, Germany, as Mit Pauken und Trompeten.
