A short film on skateboarding, produced in 1976 by MacGillivray Freeman Films. Not a traditional documentary, but more of a visual essay, celebrating its subject, enhanced by various effects, slow-motion choreography, unusual camera angles and a nice score. Nominated for an Academy Award. Now a cult film.
Greg MacGillivray and Jim Freeman made a name for themselves in the 1960s with several shorts on skateboarding and surfing.
The film comes in a plain box; artwork shown is for reference only.
Released by IE International, Italy.
