Two-part version of the American thriller The Deep from 1977, directed by Peter Yates and based on Peter Benchley’s novel of the same name. The film stars Robert Shaw, Jacqueline Bisset, and Nick Nolte.
This is the rare stereo sound version, which needs a projector that’s capable of playing both sound tracks. (Played on a one-track projector, sound is mono.)
Color of the first reel has slightly faded, but is still pretty good, with deep blues in the underwater scenes. Color of the second reel has more fade, with some pale blues and grays still present. Very good print in excellent boxes.
