The Beginning is the first episode of the British spy/detective/science fiction tv series The Champions (1968), produced by ITC and starring Stuart Damon, Alexandra Bastedo and William Gaunt.
From Wikipedia: “Agents Craig Stirling, Sharron Macready and Richard Barrett work for a United Nations law enforcement organization called ‘Nemesis’, based in Geneva. Barrett is a codebreaker, Stirling a pilot, and Macready a recently widowed scientist and doctor. In the first episode, the three Nemesis agents recover from a plane crash in the Tibetan mountains to find their injuries healed. In the course of the episode, they learn they have had new abilities bestowed on them by their rescuers, people from an ancient civilisation, and have to evade capture from the Chinese military.”
Print condition is good. However, the sound volume is not consistent (hence the price). This is especially noticeable in the first reel, in places where ongoing sounds are heard, such as traffic noise, airplane engines and background music. Dialogue is still fully intelligible, though.
The film comes in plain boxes; artwork shown is for reference only.
