Abridgement in three parts of Der Stern von Afrika [The Star of Africa], a German war film from 1957 portraying the combat career of a World War II Luftwaffe fighter pilot. The film stars Joachim Hansen and Marianne Koch and was directed by Alfred Weidenmann.
The first reel is complete with the main title and opening credits, but it lacks the introductory title “Berlin 1939” and the first 10 seconds of the first scene. Also, the sound level in the first half of this reel slightly fluctuates, although dialogue is fully comprehensible.
