Rocambole’s Gloves [I guanti di Rocambole] is a short silent fantasy drama from 1913 directed by Segundo de Chomón, who was called “the Spanish Méliès”. Silent with Dutch intertitles.
This film was probably produced in Italy. IMDb lists Itala Film as the production company. However, on the film’s title cards, the French company Pathé Frères is mentioned. Segundo de Chomón often worked for Pathé, but in this case, Pathé probably was the distributor. A very rare film with good image quality, and in excellent condition.
Dutch release, as De Tooverhandschoenen.
