A complete print of the American film noir/mystery film The Man on the Eiffel Tower (1949), directed by Burgess Meredith and starring Charles Laughton, Franchot Tone, Meredith, and Robert Hutton. Based on a novel by Georges Simenon featuring his famous detective Maigret. Silent with Dutch subtitles.
The film was released in ten 60m/200ft parts, which have been combined on five 120m/400ft reels. Print condition is pretty good, although the first minute of the first reel has more wear. Some light lines here and there. Apart from the splices used for joining the parts, the print may have an occasional splice or two. The print comes in metal cans which are a bit rusty, on metal Posso standard 8mm reels which, however, are in very good condition.
