Three-part abridgement of the war film La Battaglia d’Inghilterra, an Italian/French/Spanish production from 1969, directed by Enzo Castellari and starring Van Johnson, Frederick Stafford and Francisco Rabal. Nine years before his Inglorious Bastards, Castellari virtually invented the ‘Macaroni Combat’ genre with this over-the-top saga of valour, vengeance and machine-gun mayhem in the preliminary stages of the Battle of Britain. German sound.
