Standard 8mm | 120m/400ft | B&W | Silent
Print condition: good | Plain box
Unidentified two-reel short from the silent era. It’s a marital comedy about a husband trying to put up with his bossy wife. We couldn’t identify the leading actors (a small, timid man with a mustache and a tall, haughty woman), although the wife does resemble Rosemary Thebe. Silent with Dutch intertitles.
This is an old print, probably from the 1940s, but condition is pretty good. We could detect one splice halfway, which is probably the connection between the two 60m/200ft parts the print is composed of.
Dutch release, as De gestoorde fuif [The Disrupted Party].
