Abridgement in three parts of the American fantasy film A Thousand and One Nights from 1945, directed by Alfred Green, starring Evelyn Keyes, Phil Silvers and Cornel Wilde.
Entertaining spoof of Universal’s Arabian Nights, with comedian Phil Silvers as Aladdin’s companion. The art direction was nominated for an Academy Award. Original English soundtrack with Dutch subtitles.
Please note: this print has more lines than we usually care for, especially in the first part. Hence our lower price.
Color has only slightly faded (Agfa 2S film stock), with the Technicolor look and feel nicely preserved.
The three 120m/400ft parts have been spliced together onto one 360m/1200ft reel, which comes in a metal can. Artwork shown is for reference only.
Released by Real Film, Netherlands, as Aladdin in Bagdad.
