Abridgement in three parts of The Narrow Margin, an American film noir from 1952, directed by Richard Fleischer, starring Charles McGraw, Marie Windsor and Jacqueline White. A police detective plays a deadly game of cat-and-mouse aboard a train with mob assassins out to stop a slain gangster’s widow before she can testify before a grand jury.
Although the French dubbing will not be to everyone’s taste, this is a rare print of this classic, very atmospheric film noir.
The film was released in three parts of approximately 90m/300ft each, which have been respooled on two 180m/600ft reels. The first part and most of the second part are on the first reel, the rest is on the second reel. The parts titles and leaders have been left in.
Released by Film Office, France, as L’Enigme du Chicago Express.
